Ableism is discrimination and social prejudice against people with disabilities. It characterizes persons as defined by their disabilities and as inferior to the non-disabled. "Swipe Left" is slang for rejecting someone or something, which comes from dating apps where you swipe left to reject someone or swipe right to accept them as a match.

My daughter Sammi Haney plays Esperanza in Netflix's Raising Dion (Produced by Michael B. Jordon). She has Osteogenesis Imperfecta (O.I.) Type III or “Brittle Bone Disease”, and so she uses a wheelchair.

I once had someone I used to know (who I won't name because I never want to deal with/hear from him again) compare my daughter to being a 5 million dollar burden because of her medical bills. When he looked at my daughter, that is what he saw. I just laugh at that, because now she is a regular cast member of a Netflix show, so apparently other people saw more value in her than his ableism did.
